Documenting the Journey

Another Week 2 Testimony

Posted by Bruce Collins On July - 7 - 2010

God worked in unexplainable ways.  On Sunday, when we arrived at Grace Union Baptist Church we were privileged to attend service and have a meeting with the local volunteers.  They had a great level of dedication to the holiday club ministry. The first day the kids were not available for the program so we moved out into the community to reach out to the parents and invite the children.  They were willing and ready to hear what was said; I believe God used every one of the opportunities to reach out to them.  We had less than 10 available volunteers who coordinated the program, acted and sang, but God strengthened them throughout the week.

God united the team, in spite of our different background.  The love of God was shown amongst us.  We worked for each other and served the Lord as a team.
As the week went on, the zeal to learn within the children increased; a longing to see the Jesus movie and even to be able to share it with other children was a significant testimony for me.  Even on the last day when the antenna fell from the top of the building, God was in charge as no one was near it.

A five-year old girl longed to share the evangecube with other kids after gog through a time of learning with one of the team members.  She was so mature and longed to answer questions about the evangecube.  The impact I had in her life I cannot explain, but I know the heavens have an understanding of this.  She was not the only one, as we had other children show forth their talents as they played soccer.  The blankets were handed over to the pastor of the church who will distribute them accordingly.  - Anonymous
